This is the first collar that my cat hasn't removed and promptly destroyed - I think it has to do with the clasp, which is a bit flatter and more smooth than other breakaway collars. I'm also comforted by the fact that if he does manage to chew it beyond repair, I can simply send it back to get a new one from the company.

It is hard to find a cat collar with all the features I want - including a D-ring that won't scratch my cat's neck. Most collars have an metal bell loop that is uncovered on the neck side of the collar. In the past, these flimsy loops have scratched up my cat's neck and caused a sore.
The D-ring on this collar is covered on the neck side so that it won't scratch my cat's neck. Also, it has a breakaway collar which is a must for my active mostly-outdoor cat. The bell will give some warning to the wildlife in my yard, and the pattern is attractive. Finally, this is an American-made product, not something imported.

The collar is very nice looking and appears very sturdy. At first, it was so stiff that I could not get it to lie flat when I had to make it smaller. It really bothered the cat. But after I flexed it back and forth, it became soft and pliable with the cat liking the collar just fine.

So lovely on my Ragdoll with his brown fur and blue eyes! Great quick release buckle and easy to identify bell.

While the cat was wearing it, there was a definite decrease in the number of birds killed. Squirrels didn't seem to be affected by the bell. Cat wore it about 3 months before it came off. This is an outdoor only cat, so if you have a cat who is indoor/outdoor, maybe it would stay on it a bit longer. It's a well constructed collar.
