Didn't stop my dog barkingMar 10, 2010 This collar didn't stop my border terrier from barking. The collar isn't broken because I tried it on myself and I also tried it on my westie and it worked when he barked. My border terrier tends to yap more than she does strongly bark so I'm not sure if her bark just isn't strong enough to be picked up by the collar. She shows no reaction to any buzzing whatsoever which makes me thing the collar isn't even doing anything. I'm very disappointed because this collar is well put together and the rechargeable battery is a big bonus, but I think I'll have to look for another collar to see if it works for her.

Our story: 8-yo male un-neutered Beagle. Has attitude of strong-willed animal.
Doesn't want to take correction except when he wants to. This collar helped him decide not to bark in just a few days, with almost no problems.
The product: battery charging seems to be an issue. It doesn't indicate a complete charge unless I remove the charger, operate it for a short time, and then resume charging.
It has a one-button interface. This means there are evaluation of durration and number of button presses. The system is capable of a lot of modes, so the instructions need to be read to know what to do. The button is very hard to depress. You must have color vision to understand the mode from the small LED color lights on the display.
The instruction book is the size of a credit card. This is hard to read and difficult to interpret due to its size. You must study this little book to understand the modes and how to set them.

Does exactly what it saysMar 05, 2010 We have a puggle silky terrier mix that loves to chase and bark at squirrels. We bought this collar for two reasons, the progressive correction setting and also that it is waterproof. The progressive setting works phenomenal, only took one correction up to a leave 4 for him to stop barking whenever the collar is on. Now if we let him out and forget to put the collar on and he starts barking all we have to do is show it to him and he quits barking immediately. Simply amazing.
So far the collar also seems very waterproof. It has gotten covered in snow every time he goes out and shows no signs of being damaged by the melting snow. The real test will be this summer when he decides to jump in the pool with it on.
This product does everything it claims and works great!

Incredible Customer Service At SportDOG!!!Feb 15, 2010 Purchased SportDOG Rechargeable NoBark 10R Bark Control Collar in Oct, 2009. My little Min Pin doesn't like to be away from his Dad, but my girlfriend doesn't like him to sleep in bed with us. So we shut the bedroom door at night, and he would sit at the door and bark all night! The collar did the trick and not a single yep out of him. Unfortunately the collar stopped holding a charge, even though it showed "charging" when plugged in. I called SportDOG at 1-800-732-0144, explained the problem and they were amazing! They sent me a brand new unit, along with a prepaid label to return the broken unit. I didn't pay a penny for shipping or the replacement. WOW... NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

Defective ItemFeb 11, 2010 I must have gotten a defective unit, as there are so many positive reviews on here, but mine simply wouldn't charge or turn on. Very disappointing considering the price - I had decided on this as an upgrade from a less expensive brand. I did the return through Amazon, and their customer service is fabulous, so no real loss - they even paid for the return shipping.
