Amazing product! May 06, 2009

Although the PetzLife Oral Gel is expensive, it really works. We have two greyhounds who had terrible plaque on their teeth from years of neglect while they were racing. Our Tampa Florida greyhound adoption organization, Bay Area Greyhound Adoption (BAGA) recommended this product in the BAGA newsletter, so we decided to give it a try. We had tried many doggie toothpastes before, with no effect.
The directions on PetzLife indicate you should see improvement within a month of daily use, but our greys were almost plaque-free in less than a week. We were amazed! In addition, one of our greyhounds hated to have her teeth brushed, but with PetzLife, she doesn't mind teeth-brushing at all.
This is our second bottle of PetzLife, and the formula must have changed slightly, as the gel now has a light, fresh, minty smell which is really nice. No doggie breath! But mainly, we are so glad to see the dark plaque GONE from our greyhounds' teeth. For great dental health for your beloved pet, this product is well-worth the money.

Wonderful! Sep 03, 2009
By A. Martinez I have used this product for a few years now and it is superb for cleaning canine teeth. I have one dog, an off-the-track greyhound cursed with horrible teeth, who is very skittish, brushing his teeth would never happen. With Petzlife i put a large dollop of gel on my finger and rub it on his worst teeth every night (it took time and much patience before he would easily let me do it, now it has become routine). Application does not have to be perfect as the mix of gel and the dog's saliva aids in slowly dissolving away the plaque. It is mainly the ingredient of grapefruit seed extract that breaks down the plaque. It is very safe and effective. No other product has helped. I use Petzlife for all of my 4 dogs. If used properly the gel goes a long way. If you have a cooperative dog that will let you use a soft toothbrush, then results may be seen sooner. On average it has taken about a month to see significant results in my worst cases. This really is a great product.

Works it just takes time Jul 13, 2010

The product does work and has dissolved a large amount plaque on my dogs teeth (they also have a version for humans now). All you need is time and you need apply the product according to the directions, which is one to two times a day. They have changed the formula by adding spearmint, which my dogs are not a great fan of. They really preferred the old formula. However, I guess the idea behind the new formula is that it will help freshen the breath.
The ingredients are: Distilled water, grain alcohol, grapefruit seed extract, proprietary blend of herbs and natural oils. The grapefruit seed extract is the ingredient that reduces the plaque.

By Milkbones I've been using this product for the past couple of months. I was skeptical that it would remove tartar buildup from my dog's teeth, but it really does the job. It's not a quick solution, it takes time, but it does work.

Not Exactly Fun But Better Than Most Oct 18, 2011

Dental care for dogs is vital, especially for small breeds with crowded teeth. We have Italian Greyhounds, which are notorious for early tooth loss unless they have frequent maintenance. PetzLife Oral Care Gel is easy to use and our guys don't mind it and don't fight it, since it can be applied with a finger rather than an invasive brush. We have been using it for quite some time but recently found that Amazon.com offers a really good price and prompt delivery, which makes doing teeth more often much less of a chore. Using it as a follow-up to weekly brushing with a doggie toothpaste and by itself once or twice a week in addition is giving our dogs whiter teeth, fresher breath and a much better chance at staying that way for extra years.
