Great product Oct 29, 2010
By Flatsforlife I have a dog with severe allergies to the point of scratching all of her hair off. This product really seems to calm her down. I use it twice a week and it keeps her from scratching. I have tried all the other products out there vets have recommended and this is by far the best.

Best dog shampoo I've used Mar 10, 2012
By E. Carbone We have a dog with skin issues that resulted in him smelling bad within a day or two of washing with conventional dog shampoos. We tried about a dozen different kinds over the last few years. We also tried several different premium dog foods (thinking it was an allergy), not to mention various supplements. Nothing seemed to have an effect. I saw this shampoo and noticed that it had several of the ingredients used to treat dandruff and other skin conditions (in people and dogs). I figured it was worth a shot. Well, it was! This is a good shampoo. It clearly is more than many of the pet shampoos that simply try to disguise odor with strong perfumes. We have found that we can wash him and now wait a full week and he still doesn't start to smell nearly as bad as he would before. He also rarely scratches now. It must be the tar or salicylic acid or maybe both..but the formula helps. Also, after the dog is washed, there is a slight medicinal odor that definitely lets you know he's been washed, but it's not strong. It's a mild, pleasant smell. This shampoo worked very well for our dog.

I have a white American Bulldog who has always had skin problems. He was a rescue and almost hairless when I got him. He seems to get seasonal flare ups. He eats a fish and potato or fish and rice dog food. I do not know if that helps. I sometimes give him generic Benadryl tabs. This shampoo has given him a considerable amount of relief. This is saying a lot. I do not mind the fragrance. I have used it 3 times so far and I am very happy with it. I also clean his ears with a Virbac ear cleaning solution and use a Zymox pet rinse which I dilute with water and spray on him. The shampoo by itself has given my dog a lot of relief. I use it every 5 days or so.
Pretty good! Apr 17, 2013
By K. Sheehan I have three rottweilers who all seem to have developed skin rashes associated with allergic dermatitis at the same time. I tried many remedies, and nothing worked. The constant chewing, scratching and licking was making me nuts, they kept tearing out their fur, and it was keeping us all up at night. It was awful. I read the reviews on this product, and willing to try anything, gave it a shot. A couple of baths later, the incessant chewing and scratching has stopped, and their fur is growing back. I'm really grateful, for their sake and my sanity, that this worked!
