This bed is great! It is easy to put together and very sturdy. My dog loves to go and lay in this so she keeps cool. The flaps on the top close with velcro and open back for an air vent. I would recommend this bed to anyone who wants to keep their dog cool in direct or indirect sun!

I use amazon because I appreciate the reviews - I should have heeded them - but most talked about the difficulty putting togther - this was not my problem - Although the instructions were minimal at best - with the pictures it came together pretty quick - HOWEVER - with the last step - zipping the cover & bottom together - total zipper failure !! plastic zipper split and it wasn't even a strain - just crap zipper - I ended up sewing back section top to the bottom - again, heed the amazon reviews!

Purchased this a week ago via Amazon and was trying/ attempting to build it, I build cars for a living so I do know what I am doing. Concept is great but when the parts are cheap and broken when I opened it I knew what to expect. On top of the very very low quality , our 50 lbs lab will break this in maybe 2 weeks , the box had the wrong parts in it. If you have a bunch of free time on your hands to build a dog house which has the wrong parts enclosed and the direction are the standard out of China ,,,, then this is your summer project. Your dog will be laughing at you as you attempt to build this mess. Shipped back after none of the parts matched.

First let me say, I have 3 pit bulls and they enjoy this tent house very much.
There is lots of jumping in and out and wrestling inside, neither has attempted to chew it yet.
Of course I provide them with actual chew bones at all times.
The first one I received had wrong parts and had to be sent back. The second one was fine, with one problem. The zippers wouldn't fit!
We then figured out we had the bottom upside down and once corrected, the zippers closed fine.
Overall I would say this isn't money you want to spend on a very "aggressive" dog that like to chew stuff up.
But for an older dog, or simply non chewing one, it's very cool.
I have had it 2 weeks now with continues daily use.
Assembling it was pretty basic and had non of the problems described below....

Although my dog isn't to fond of going inside of it just yet, it seems to be a pretty good alternative to one of those big bulky dog houses sold elsewhere. Its light weight and the material is good enough to keep rain off the cot itself. I live in Florida so my dog will benefit from the breathable mesh cot. I don't think it'll do well in windy conditions though, it being so light and all. Hopefully my dog gets used to it and starts using it a but more.
