1The most frustrating experience you can imagine.  Jun 21, 2011
By marylynn61
This chair may or may not be fine. At this point we cannot tell because the instructions are horrible. There is NO information about how to adjust the cart to fit your dog, how to put your dog in the cart, nothing that you actually need to know. There is a whole page in the manual about how to measure your dog. Customer service told me that this information is to help you pick the right size of cart to buy.... but you only see this after you have bought the cart. Not useful.
They are supposed to send you a 7-part email series on using the chair. We only got 4 parts. None of them contain useful or practical information related to the dog wheelchair. This is not something you buy because it seems fun. If your dog needs a wheelchair, you are going to be stressed out. You need clear, easy-to-follow directions. There is no picture of a dog properly placed in the cart. The instructions about putting your dog into the cart refer to pieces not shown by those names in the assembly diagram. The instructions tell you to snap off a harness that appears to be permanently attached to the chair. I waited a week for this item to arrive and it brings nothing but disappointment and frustration. I would kick whoever wrote that manual if I could get my hands on them.

5Good service!!!  Sep 27, 2011
By Rebecca "Becca"
I got this in the mail and had to setup and figure how to actually get my dog into it. The setup was pretty simplistic (nothing difficult) but I had a bit of trouble figuring how to actually get my dog secured into the wheelchair. The customer support was very helpful and walked me through everything, as well as answered my many questions without issues. Satisfied not only with this wheelchair (which works superb), but also with the service that came along with it.

1Dog Wheelchair Medium 40-60 lbs  May 06, 2012
By Scott Nichols
Piece of junk. Side rails bend easily, Neck harness is a night mare to figure out and attach. Worse problem was the chair it's self. Any time the dog would even start to go backwards, the whole chair would flip upside down with the dog in it. Terrified the dog. The thing needs some type of wheely wheels connected to the back of the frame to prevent it from flipping over. Used one time and threw away. Total waste of $197.00. Not recommended for any dog of any size!

4Wheelchair Brings Clara's Spirit Back  Nov 01, 2011
By Pam
Clara is my 4 year old, 45lb. boxer, who out of the blue got a blood clot in her spine & became paralyzed in her back legs. F.C.E. is a condition that may or may not be permanent and does involve a long recovery period. After 3-4 weeks she lost her spirit along with much of her muscle tone in her back legs. With her decrease in health my vet & I decided it was time for a wheelchair. She needed to be a dog again. After researching for a great deal & for a quality product, I purchased Best Friend Mobility 40-60 lbs. wheelchair. I received the wheelchair in one week's time with instructions. The price @ Amazon was the best anywhere & the chair was not too cumbersome for Clara. Many of the chairs looked too bulky for her, Best Friend Mobility Wheelchair weighs only 3.5lbs. Clara was going to be carrying her rear weight as well as the weight of the chair it had to be easy for her & I. I am happy to report Clara has her spirit back! She has returned to guarding the backyard. My vet & I are happy to see the physical difference in her too. She is regaining her muscle tone. When Clara is in the house I allow her to drag her paws behind her. Clara has a slight jerk in her legs as she attempts to walk around the house. The chair has aided Clara physically & mentally. We hope her progress will continue with the aid of the chair, I know it did not exist until the chair.
I gave the chair a rating of a 4 since you cannot collapse it while the dog is in the chair. Many of the larger & more expensive chairs have this capability.

5No Problem Assembly, Good Value Product  Oct 03, 2011
By G. Padilla
I don't have a pet; I got this for my friend's dog. I looked around for different brands of dog wheelchairs but honestly, for the price, I think I found the best buy.

I'm not very handy but I didn't encounter any difficulties. The assembly and fitting guide was pretty easy to follow, even for someone like me. It took me a few minutes to read the instructions and about half an hour to to put it together. All in all, let's say I had the wheelchair rolling in under an hour.

Getting the dog strapped in was a little trickier, I think this is normal for everyone. When I presented the assembled wheelchair, the dog, old Apples, excitedly got in but we had a little trouble because the wheelchair wasn't balanced. Correcting it was a cinch, the manual was a quick and easy reference.

It has been a couple of weeks, I've seen the old gilr happily rolling in her wheelchair twice, and the rest of the time I've only gotten good feedback.

Again, on the whole, I think this is a great buy. Sure, there may be other better, fancier, more expensive kinds out in the market but this one is a very good product and one that's reasonably priced.
