I have a 9-month old kitten who is obsessed with this toy. She barely plays with her old toys any more since I got this for her a few weeks ago. She loves it when I drag it around on the floor, and will chase it in circles endlessly. Sometimes I'll just drag it behind me while I walk around doing chores and it keeps her entertained, instead of crying for attention.
Sadly, the little cardboard piece that functions as the handle fell off pretty quickly, but I just twisted the wire into a little loop to use as a handle instead. Also, this thing is so cheap that it won't be painful to replace.

I have two cats both adults who have, and continue to love this toy. It is so simplistic but as others have said they both go nuts over it. I have had mine about a year, and no exposed hook as other have mentioned - but I guess something to keep an eye on. My cats have all sorts of toys - catnip filled, feathers, lasers lights, ok yes they are spoiled, and most they loose interest in, or one may like and not the other. This toys is it!

Hands down, this is the best cat toy ever. Cats love it and go wild for it. They jump. They chase. If you even touch the cat dancer, their ears pop up.
And yes, I feel like a total dork for not having invented it myself. A piece of wire and a few pieces of cardboard....Total cost must be three cents. who would have guessed ? But it's brilliant.

My cat loves this toy! It isn't the most durable thing; if you want it to last more than a few weeks, don't let your cat chew on it. But, based on the enjoyment it gives my cat, I'm willing to sacrifice a couple of dollars once a month.
