5Perfect ALL Metal Pet Gate  Nov 21, 2009
By J. McClintock "Light Keeper"
We started with this gate and added two of the height extensions. The combination is unbeatable! Our two German Shepherds have eaten and/or jumped every gate we've tried. This gate is ALL steel with the exception of two plastic bushings which are inaccessible to the dogs. This gate beats any of the gates with plastic handles, catches, locks, etc. No more "escapes" from the kitchen; they don't even try anymore.

4easy to install  Feb 13, 2008
By happy mom
i tried out a lot of gates for top of the stairs.this gate worked the best.it was easy to install, and the best part is the angle mount was great.i didnt even know that both ends of the top of the stairs was not even until i tried this gate.my toddler is tall 34 inches at 18 months! and this gate is tall enough for her.It is not possible for her to open the gate and she tried a lot and gave up.
i would recomend this gate to anyone .just one con it is very difficult to open with one hand carrying a child in the other.i have to put her down hold the catch away and then open it.

5Great gate - easy to install & use.  Jan 05, 2009
By E. Chaudhury
We bought two of these to create a safe zone where our 12 month old can run around in our crowded apartment without us having to follow him around everywhere shouting "no". We all love this gate - even my son.

It is heavy duty so my 30 pound 12 month old can use it to cruise on or use for balance while he's dancing and it doesn't budge.

It's easy to install. It took abot 20 minutes for the first one - until I figured out to mark the holes for the screws then put it in the open position so I could get the electric screw driver into a good angle. The second one took about 10 minutes, but only because my son was climbing all over me while I was installing it.

It is very forgiving if you don't use a level and you install it a little crooked because a 12 month old is climbing on you.

The open bars allow my son to see what we're doing in the kitchen so he feels like he is with us - but he can't touch the hot stove or climb into the dishwasher. We can also see what he's up to.

And my favorite part - I can open it with one hand. We go in and out of the kitchen alot - carrying a baby or a plate of food in one hand - and we can pop it open and closed again behind us no problem. It will be a while before my son is tall enough and strong enough to figure out how to open it by himself.

Overall - we love them. We don't know what we would do without them - probably run around after a 12 month old all day shouting "no".

5Durable and easy to use!  Dec 31, 2010
By drdoolittle
I absolutely love this gate! I had tried the pressure gates and my bulldog learned how to throw himself at it and knock them over very easily. I have several dogs and this gate is working very well so far. It is easy to manipulate to get through, can swing both ways, and is strong enough to hold back both the small and large dogs. Also, it is wide enough to fit in the frameless doorway that I needed it for without having to buy and extender!

4Worked like a Charm - Just what we were looking for...  May 02, 2011
By TnGranny
GREAT PRODUCT - We are using it outside to help corral our 4-legged K-9 'kids' on the porch. Need to have 2 of them, but bought one to see how well it would work. We are VERY HAPPY with it, the spring latch rod works great; easy to use, yet strong & sturdy enough to provide peace-of-mind. It is easy for people to use, yet impossible for our 'kids' to push or jiggle to get out. We were looking for a metal gate to be used outside so it was important that it was not only sturdy enough to last, but also wanted to make sure it had a powder or rubber coating to protect the metal. This gate is sturdy and works great for our purpose. Have had it in use for a couple weeks, we are very pleased, and just ordered another one for the other end of the porch.
Our ONLY ISSUE has been the small mounted bracket the spring-latch rod locks into. Because we are using it outside and the gate is fastened to green pressure treated wood that twists as it dries, the little bracket had to be adjusted with the drying/twisting wood. Problem was simple to fixed - replaced the little bracket with a heavy screw-in eye bolt that can be adjusted quickly and easily as needed. WORKED LIKE A CHARM. We are certain when installed where the manufacturer intended way, that no modifications would be necessary. GREAT PRODUCT would highly recommend it.
