 ok, but not greatMar 10, 2010
I have a couple of cat track toys, the cats play with them for a while, then ignore them until someone else discovers them again. Got this for the figure 8 layout. Cats, one esp, really like it. Plays with it so much the sections of track come apart, the ball comes out and the whole thing is in pieces. The sections need to snap together with a lot more authority, they need a positive lock on the underside. If you add the additional pieces, it will just be worse as it just gets flimsier the more sections, the more length it has.

After reading rave reviews, I bought 2 at once!
I love the idea and of course my cat is fascinated by this. But pieces don't snap together well. It falls apart making it frustrating to assemble. So I feel it could be greatly improved.

I gave 3-star rating for this item, because I appreciate Turbo Track's innovative design. I also wish to complement the makers of this product for all the joy they reportedly brought to many other members of domesticated feline species. Alas, my cat is different. After I assembled this toy in front of Peach, my 11-years-old Persian cat, and showed him the basic rules of operation, he looked at me, as if saying, "Ok, so you want me to roll this ball, because you think it is fun, right?" He then pushed the ball once or twice and went away satisfied with his contribution to yet another pointless human activity. Notably, in spite of his mature age, he does have plenty of energy. Peach can chase a laser beam without end (he also visibly enjoys listening to classical music), but Turbo Track is apparently not one of his things. With all its potential capacity to entertain a cat and its observers, my Turbo Track goes back to Amazon.

This is a great item. It can be transformed into 3 different tracks or you can add more pieces to make tracks longer. My cat loves it in the figure eight arrangement. It's a fair price for this type of toy, and can be easily taken apart for cleaning.

This has been keeping kitty entertained for months now and she's not bored with it. She was excited as soon as I started putting it together. She seems to have developed several different mini-games to play with it. I'm especially glad that it keeps her occupied at night. If one of us gets up during the night we can usually hear the ball racing around. She has managed to break it apart a few times, but that just seems to add to the fun. In the morning as soon as we find the ball and she hears us put it back in she has to come bat it around. If she does get bored with it, you can change the shape or combine with other tracks. Kitty has certainly gotten her money's worth.
