5the best for dogs with big tanks  Oct 20, 2011
By Jeffrey Goodman "groomerdude"
I have tried a wide variety of pads from premium priced to cheapies. I have two dogs - a small cocker and an 85 lb basset hound mix -- really big guy with a large holding tank. They are crossed trained to go out when possible -- but in middle of night or if I am away all day -- they know its good to go on the pads.

This is simply the most absorbent I have found. Others were OK for the cocker. But the big guy has so much in him when he pees -- and these absorb it all and stay awfully dry underneath.

Shop around as well -- even these pads have a wide variance in price. I always buy the 75 pack size which is hard to find -- but search -- you will find it.

Great pad, excellent overall value. Especially at the lower end of the pricing spectrum I usually pay $116 delivered for 300 pads)(which lasts a long time)

5Best stay-at-home dog pads I have found in 7 years  Aug 29, 2010
By 28wagram
It is actually my first ever product review on Amazon.com, even though I have been a faithful Prime customer for years. I started buying those pads earlier this year on the site as they were made available with better prices than anywhere else I could find in my neighborhood or online (including free shipping with Amazon Prime).

As a word of background, for 7 years now, I have been the proud owner of 6-lbs stay-at-home Chihuahua: "No, he is tall for the breed, not overweight!" Thanks for asking...

In my own experience, unlike what was stated by another reviewer, the pads are of significantly better quality than the puppy ones from Four Paws Wee Wee Pad (and most other brands I was able to try), and this on 2 distinct dimensions:
(i) the puppy pads are indeed a bit thicker and therefore more absorbent than the regular puppy pads;
(ii) more importantly, the sealing of the overall plastic wrapper of the pad is WAY better than on any other puppy pads I was able to try, therefore justifying its premium pricing.

This means that, if you forget to change the pad in the middle of the night, or you have a late night in the office or in the shop, you will minimize risks of leaks on your floor. And maximize chances of licks from your own pet that will not have to be sorry for the smelly, wet mess he created, even though he followed your instructions to a "T".

Those pads are well worth at least a try...

1Not absorbent  Jan 21, 2010
By Ms. Tookla
This item was stated to be much more absorbent than the puppy wee-wee pads. I have purchased the puppy pads and they are much more absorbent the the adult ones. Do not waste your money on this product. Get the extra large wee-wee pads for puppy training for your adult dog.

2Thin and not very absorbant  Apr 08, 2011
By Totally Honest Reviewer "barb"
I was disappointed in these pads, as they are thin and do not absorb very well. I find that the pad needs changing more frequently than others I've used. After using these up, I will look for another brand that works better.
