 Helped With Neurotic Cat Aug 03, 2009

Feral Will, our little rescued and quite neurotic cat, has calmed down considerably since we began using the fresh food tower. He used to gorge when we put out food, then beg when the bowl was empty. Sometimes his begging was while one of us was attempting to go down stairs or walk across a room. Once we left for a long weekend leaving two huge bowls of food so he wouldn't freak out. Uhhh, not such a great idea, he ate every speck of food and I think he must have gained three pounds.
This little, simple tool lets Feral relax. Food is always there so he doesn't have to gorge. Nice. I haven't tripped over him in weeks. We did have to put some tape over the hole to make the hole smaller to slow down the food flow. But that works and Feral is content and my life is easier. Very good return on my investment.

I bought this product for feeding my 3 persian cats while on vacation. Every day I have to force the feeder to give out more food as it sticks so I have to take a finger and wiggle the food dispenser to get more food in the tray. They gave me a refund so I bought an automatic food dispenser for $54.00, I got the petmate but bought an a/c adapter for it as the reveiews was not good whom used the batteries only, for it.
I heard that regular house cats are pretty much smarter than persians and they might be able to figure out how to manipulate the food to come out into the tray. My advice is not to buy this one if you are thinking about going on vacation.

Really Like This Food Tower! Feb 06, 2010

I needed a food tower for my 2 cats when I went out of town. This was easy to use and the cats had enough food at all times.
It also prevented them from over eating. Also the person who checked on them didn't need to worry the food would run out. It
held enough for the 2 cats for 10 days. I did tape the mouth up a bit so the kibble wouldn't pour out quickly but just disperse
more slowly.

The opening (where the food is dispensed) was too large so I just improvised with a piece of plastic and some duct tape and made the opening smaller. It works great now.

I find that this product is very convenient in that I only have to fill it once a week. It also keeps the spilled food to a minimum.
