Exceeds expectations! Jan 12, 2011
By April T. Wow! I have to say this product is even better than I thought it would be! I have been shopping for elevated feeders for weeks now. I really wanted a wrought iron one (where the bowls just sat in there) since those would be less bulky in my small space. But those were so expensive for the size I needed! Most of them only contained 2 qt bowls, which is fine for feeding, but not enough water for my 75 lb yellow lab. I didn't want to be filling her water twice a day.
There was no review on this one, but there was a review on the 3 qt white one. Thanks to that review I knew the top was wood. It doesn't really specify that in the description. And this brand had better reviews than the similar stands sold by Spot. Those reviews complained about wobbly legs. So I finally decided to go with the Ethical Pet one. The price was reasonable and they had it available in a 3 qt. I am so glad I did!
It has metal legs that are super sturdy. They are at least 3/4 inch thick. Adjusting was simple...I did it with one hand. The top is solid wood, but it is as smooth as plastic. The bowls slide just a bit, but I figure it is better than having them too tight to remove easily. They are good quality bowls like you would get at a pet store. The stand adjusts from 11 inches up to 18 inches. I only had to go up one notch for my lab, and no wobble at all. I am very satisfied. Great price, and a quality product! Highly recommended for large breeds!

FYI-Adjusts from 11"-18" tall Jul 14, 2008
By bassetmom Although this actually did not work out for my dog, I would highly recommend this bowl set for a Large--XLarge breed. The description is not complete enough to explain the height adjustments. Overall the quality is fantastic. Sturdy and heavy due to the polished wood and metal construction so I doubt your dog would have it "on the move" when he tries to push it around the floor to get that last morsel. I returned the product ONLY because the description did not explain the minimum height and the bowls came up to my dog's eyes! The oak is light in color and more tan than an orange oak so it is true to the picture. Hope all my info helps you make your decision.

Great product and service Jun 21, 2010
By J. Lee This is a great choice for an elevated diner. We have a greyhound and the fact that it is adjustable was nice for my peace of mind because we had to get it before she arrived. We were not sure exactly what height she was comfortable with for a dish. This adjustability alone is a great feature, and it is easy to do. It is a good quality product and we ordered the black one because it matches the kitchen nook just perfectly. Great looks and construction.

Misleading Aug 27, 2009
By A. Little Don't be misled by the "3 adjustable sizes". This means the height goes from about 1 inch to about 3 inches. I got this for my golden retriever and laughed until I cried when I opened the box. FOR SMALL DOGS ONLY!!

Material used for this product is POOR! Sep 24, 2011
By shaynemaidel I bought this for my 5 month old Bullmastiff puppy. It is WAY smaller than it seems. Aside from that the "Oak" laminate came off after a few weeks. Now she is 6 months old and it is way way to small and it looks ugly. It's composite wood. Not sturdy. I would NOT recommend this to a friend.
