Great toy, my dogs current favorite! Sep 07, 2010 Blake loves playing with this toy, its a perfect combination of squeaky and bouncy and is perfect to throw around and play fetch with him in the yard. Its been a month since I got this and it is still somehow in one piece though there is a progressively larger hole developing in it as of late. My shepherd-pit mix powers through entire rawhide bones in an hour or two though so the fact that this has lasted this long is pretty spectacular. Obviously this isn't supposed to be used as a chew toy, but the joy he gets out of sitting there and making it squeal makes it pretty hard to take away from him! I'll definitely be buying more from the Air Dog line, hopefully the other varieties are as durable.
Just a ball Aug 19, 2010 I was very disappointed with this ball. The squeaker broke within 5 minutes of play, and then it was just a ball to our dog. He lost interest right away then. I have purchashed other Kong Squeaker items, and they lasted a lot longer. Would not purchse the football.
My huge Labby is NUTS about this toy!!! Aug 03, 2010 Buddy is almost 100 pounds, so I got him the large size Squeaker Football, and it is quite a mouthfull for him. But he gets the whole thing in his big mouth, squeaking it like mad and prancing around with the biggest, goofiest grin on his face whenever I let him play with it. The sound of it can be irritating after a while, so I don't leave it out for him all of time. Also, the surface of the football is the same as an ordinary tennis ball, which is something that Buddy will gnaw off in the course of time, so for this reason I do not let him use it as a chew toy. Mostly I try to engage him in playing "fetch", which he does enjoy, but it is hard for him to completely relinquish the toy after he brings it back--he has to give it a few happy squeaks for fun first. Annoying noise, but it makes him ecstatic!
Squeeker Died in Less Than 2 Hours Apr 17, 2010 I've had two of these. The squeeker went out on the first in about two weeks. My dog loved the toy so much, I decided to try another. With in two hours of opening the box, the squeeker died.
I won't buy another and I can't really recommend it, but I gave it three stars because my dog's still crazy about it. She likes the odd bounce it can take when I throw it. Sadly, I don't expect it to last much longer... holes are starting to develop around the seams.

Not for large dogs at all!! Mar 08, 2010 1st off, a large dog is not 60 pounds. I am sick and tired of large being refered to 40-60 pound dogs to make their wuss owners feel more happy about their owning a medium sized dog. I have two Rotties. This Kong football lasted literally 45 seconds with my male. 45 seconds!? I looked at the toys for "dogs" at Petco, and other pet stores locally. I ended up purchasing this toy from Tractor Supply due to my successful purchasing, and lasting durability of other kong toys I have. My dog not only stripped the tennis material off it within seconds, he bit clean through it like it was made out of wax. I would not reccommend this or any other kong air squueaker. HOWEVER, the red solid rubber ball from Kong has lasted longer than a tractor tire that I bought months ago. He tore the tire apart (not steel belts!!!), but the red kong ball is still here!
