5Excellent choice  Aug 17, 2008
By JudithM46
I purchased my Ferret Nation 143 and it was an excellent buy, my husband and I attached the add on to our 141 in under 10 minutes, all the parts were there and the directions were easy to follow. The add on 143, like the 141 is extreemly easy to maintain. I see cages made of much lighter materials selling for equal to greater $$. The 143 makes the total cage very roomy, making it a great addition for multi-ferret households.
Excellent value and quality.

5Best design for ferrets and their humans  Apr 13, 2011
By Schnauzer Lover
The FN-143 arrived today and my ferrets couldn't be happier. They really do appreciate the extra room for climbing and playing, plus so many different sleeping choices! Another fine product from Midwest Cages.

Assembly was even easier than the 141, probably because I already had an idea of how the pieces went; didn't even look at the supplied directions. Needed hubbies help for about 5 minutes, I did the rest myself.

Oddly, when I ordered the cage the webpage said that it would be fullfilled by Amazon. 2 days later it had this new supplier listed; HorseLover2. That may be why it took 2 full weeks to receive my order. That was a disappointment, though the cage is wonderful.

5Love this Cage  Sep 27, 2011

Love the addition to my Ferret Nation Cage. Needed extra room when we went from 2 ferrets to 4. This is great - with 3 stories the ferrets have room to run around and spread out. I would not have any other cage - durable and quality made.

4Cool cage  Mar 27, 2011

Having the 141 was such a pleasure that I decided on the Add on. I'm not disappointed with it. The quality is so much better than most cages out there. There are a few gaps here and there and the base was hard to fit in when you use binder clips for fleece flooring but I used giant binder clips to fix the the gap between the the floor(smaller ledge) and the metal frame and it works fine. Putting it together..hhmmm I had less problem with the 141. I'm single with nobody helping me so it WAS a problem. What made it worst was I scared my poor man rats. LOL poor things were so scared of my cursing and all. Took an hour to calm them down. The problem was that being higher up (I'm 5'4)its harder to align the the holes when the sides of the cage keeps moving. GGRRR!!! I finally figured if you hold the front and back (back should be against the wall) together first then align the sides it works better. Also slightly screw in the sides first too. Or else borrow a neighbor!!!!

5Best Ferret Cage  Mar 13, 2011

My husband had no problems assembling the cage. The doors can be removed, or fully opens for easy cleaning. My husband removed one side panel and created a ferret "outhouse" with extra hose and plywood. You can google Holistic Ferret to find out how to make your own remote litter box.

We love this cage, and have owned ferrets for years. This is by far the best product we've ever had.
